Leiho zikin, zeru garbi

 

'Leiho zikin, zeru garbi' springs from a will to understand different relationships to space from the female experience. Bringing motion to specific body parts, the piece evolves as a moving manifesto of self-discovery and proclamation. The work jumps in time, merging references from the present culture with traditional Basque heritage, folkloric songs and imagery. The creation was supported by Gipuzkoako Dantzagunea, Bilbaoeszena and NunArt Barcelona, and it premiered in October 2020 at the BAD Festival Bilbao.
